Job Description
This position is a full time permanent position. A successful candidate must be able to comprehend large and complex code bases quickly. The position requires strong analytical skills. Knowledge of the Linux devices drivers and Linux internals is required. The successful candidate will assist in the bring up of new hardware platforms, debug problems with device drivers, memory management, flash file systems, and other kernel related issues. Additionally the successful candidate should be able to debug software issues in a large and complex application. This is a challenging opportunity for the right individual.
Required skills
- 5+ years of C, C++ and/or Java development.
- Strong Linux experience.
- Experience with resource constrained and embedded environments.
- Able to understand and debug complex systems.
- Must be a self starter and able to do the job with little or no supervision.
- Ability to interact directly with the customer and manage customer expectations
- Willingness and able to lead projects a plus
- Experience with MPEG/H.264 or other audio/video transports a plus.
- BS/CS or equivalent

This position requires keen analytical skills and the ability to reconcile divergent code paths. The applicant needs to be able to use source code control systems and understand makefiles.
